I purchased this app a while back and I have to say that Im impressed by the quality of the software. Michel is very responsive to questions I might have and he addresses minor interface blemishes by fixing them in the next release. He listens to comments about future feature requests and delivers them regularly. I use the Yahoo free end of day data and this software package is truly a diamond in the rough that just gets better and better. If you havent given it a try, you dont know what you are missing. Definitely take advantage of the video tutorials and other documentation to get up to speed faster. Bravo Michel!!

I was looking for some technical analysis software for the Mac, there are not very many choices. This software can be overwhelming at first, just go through the tutorials. I could not find how to set up a 200DMA so I contacted the vendor at 11:30 at night, I was very suprised when 5 minutes later the simple script with simple instructions were delivered to my inbox. Cant ask for much more than that, I also asked about compatability with the next OS as well as cloud support, he said both would be coming this summer.

Ncely intuitive. It may not be ProTA, but its not >$100 either.

Just wanted to make a comment about this software. I have been trading and investing for many years. I have used everything that has ever been developed for Mac. In my mind ProTA was the best before using Mastock. With the former software I needed ot use another program purchased just to mananage Data downloading to chart my stocks. Or you had to pay a monthly subscription for DATA. With Mastock you tap into free services and it can be updated as often daily as you would like. That was one of my complaints. Mastock is so easy to use and the Data is right there when you need it. The interface is very easy to use. Infact when I first bought it I put it aside for a few weeks because I thought it was to simple meaning it was not very powerful. Well I was wrong this software is more powerful than what most investors/traders will ever need. I also use IB and for my trading platform so I have used in my mind one of the most sophisticated and robust that is online. With that said all my analysis is done on Mastock-It is a great piece of software with a great developer. Any question I have had in the past has been emailed back to me with lightning speed. It is also an evolving piece of software. Updates happen all the time and the developer listens to emails about anything that can better the software. Thanks for the great work. This has to be the best software Ive has used for charting. I own many other TA charting programs and this one is leaps and bounds above all of them for a few reasons. (1) Its made for the Mac and I dont have to run parallels to use it (like my other ones). (2) Cost $60 (enough said on that one). (3) Interface is clean, customizable, and user friendly (some would differ, but it comes with a user guide so dont be lazy and take the time to reference it before bashing the program). (4) Data update for FREE!!!! come on, how many can say that (option to use paid data updates for futures, currencies, and commodities). (5) Ipad version for on the go use (iCloud sync). This one gets it own line cause its the most important. (6) THE DEVELOPER CARES!!!! Mr. Montagne (Mike) takes pride in this program. Why? Well…anytime I have come across an issue I emailed him only to receive a rapid respone with the solution. A great product with outstanding support = priceless. Words cant describe how much I recommend this program. Im just glad somebody realized Mac needed a better charting program. Thank you Mr. Montagne

this tool is very complete and allow any person following stock markets to monitor his radar screen very quickly and efficiently on a daily or weekly basis. the interface is simple(for that type of tool of course…) and can be easily customised to specific needs. the addition of a comparison tool between 2 stocks or between a stock and an index would be a strong plus.

Ive been a trader and Mac user for over 20 years. Ive used all the stock apps available, and this is the best. I trade through IB and have used their interactive software TWS. Ive previously used ProTA Gold for my daily analysis. However, it has not been updated or improved for years and has poor developer support. Mastock is updated regularly and the developer Michel Montagne is amazingly responcive to any queries. I developed an indicator/trigger with ProTA, but did not know how to program it with Mastock. Michel quickly wrote the script and had it up and running in no time. You can find it under Triggers-Significant Candles. This has a multitude of features that will take you some time to master. Its feature rich and cost poor.You wont be disappointed it you purchase it. Its a total bargain. Mac

This app has a vast wealth of stock evaluation tools, for both fundamental and technical analysis. The software itself is mostly devoted to technical analysis, but an "Info" tab on the lower toolbar of the program window takes you to the stocks page on Yahoo Finance, which lends itself to fundamental analysis. I wanted to love it because of the tremendous selection of evaluation tools. However, the app is still limited. You cannot add charts for currencies or indices for relative strength analysis, nor is there a way to integrate the Relative Strength Ratio into any chart because it is not supported. This is a pretty big problem for technical analysis. You can "add" them, but when you click on the currency or index to view the chart, nothing will show up. You have to manually add all the information you want, which can often mean having to manually enter hundreds of individual quotes, sometimes thousands. Considering this apps price tag, I expected more from it. Looks like Ill have to find something else to use for technical analysis. Edit: Ive spoken with the developer, and he says that updates for Relative Strength Ratio against market averages for stocks are coming soon. The developer really is terrific about answering customer questions and addressing concerns. This app is already really good, and when that update comes out, this app will be the best, bar none. Highly recommended; Im a college sophomore majoring in finance with a goal of being a professional financial advisor.

Great App to follow the Market with plus the developer really cares about his customers and is always adding updates to improve on it.

The old saying you get what you pay for rings true for this application. I will admit there is a significant learning curve to overcome in order to be proficient in its use. I have both the Mac and iphone version and use them on a regular basis. Not being a professional trader, the applications provide me with all the information I need and then some. The developer regularly updates the application and the features continue to grow at an impressive rate. The best part of the application is the developer support. The support alone is worth the price. I have never experienced the level of customer support with any other product period. Questions are answered usually within hours and problems are 100% resolved. I had a problem related to my computer and the developer walked me through the resolution step by step. I cannot say enough about the support.

I really like the improvements in this latest version.I have liked all the improvements all along. I have had Mastock on my MacBook Pro for 2 or 3 years, then added the iPad and iPhone versions as soon as these became available. All versions are SUPER.On the new iPad version having the crosshairs just above my finger makes it so much easier to locate precisely where I want it. Similarly drawing lines now on the iPad version is a breeze - no more guess work, you know exactly where the crosshairs are. Having intraday data is a super addition. Having differential crosshairs is a nice feature. Two graphs (on say weekly the other daily on the iPad - great!. And last but not least, super fast rate of downloading information - what more can I say. These Apps are worth the money. Michel has beeen so responsive to suggestions for improvement. I think you get the picture. Get this App.

Mastock provides everything I need for charting. The support is really unmatched for a program at this price. This program allows you to do just about anything in the charting space. What I really like about this program is the the ability to customized just about any charting function. You cant go wrong with this program. I love it!

I currently own a couple different charting packages and Mastock is by far the best. It easily rivals the high end packages in the PC world.

I love investigating shares and this application makes it easy. The seamless connection to the internet and ease of use make this a stand-out application. The Graphic User Interface is polished and intuitive. Do yourself a favour and buy yourself a copy of this app. Youll be glad you did.

was worried this was gonna be all hype, but actually pretty awesome tool in helping you create strategies and entry/exits. Give yourself time if this is your first time with charting tools, learn it and it will definitely help you grow and protect your accounts. Def worth the money, already made my money back. There’s no other app in the app store that comes close. Keep updating the app, adding and refining features and this will be great app for this developer.

I’ve only been trading for 4 months and prior owning Mastock, I’ve notice I’ve made more money, reduce my risk and my decision is quicker. It basically improved my Stock Trading and contain alot of valuable tools. Most of the time I can chart quickly, it gives me a better idea on what the stock is going to do in the near future. I was worried at first that this software wasn’t going to do what it’s supposed to do compared to the other software for more $$. Boy was I wrong, the price is well worth the money and believe me I’ve made my money back. It has helped me create strategy and entry/exits. I used this software on my first sub-penny stock a week ago and I’m up 170%. I can say this is a great tool for any beginner / serious trader. Do yourself a favor and get the application you will not regret it. Keep up the good work!!!!

This is a great piece of software for two reasons: 1) it is very cheap compared to most of its competitors, and 2) there really arent any other options for mac users. The program writer also does a very good job responding to emails and there are very usefull, frequent updates. Two thumbs up.
