I have been searching for a long time and tried pretty much all apps for technical stock analysis. This is definitely the best one out there! It is really easy to use for the beginner, but what makes this app over the top is the possibility for personal configuration for heavy users and "pro functionality". The possibility to program your own indicators and triggers and easily backtest on historic data is a very nice feature. The data management works very good and you can use all the open sources for data. The number of preset indicators is enormous and automatic candle stick analysis is very helpful. I could go on and on... This is a monster of an app. I use it for quite some time and there are so many features, that I havent tried out all funcionality, yet. Two more things: It is very stable and easy on ressources, and most of all, it is under heavy development and getting better and better.

This is a very powerful stock market analysis software, while easy to use. Mac-like. Well done!

Excellent tool for monitoring the markets

This is fantastic software and have every major feature which one require for daily analysis. However i find no forum or envirnoment to share custom indicators or colleborate with other users. Also, there are no starting videos that can give insight into complex working of stock screening, creating own indicators using script. I tried to use forum but it says that i am not on cloud.

This program is far and above the best stock application out there.

Great app!! will never need another app for EASY TECHNICAL ANALYSIS, portfollio management, news and the list goes on!! The developer is very personable and is on top of things; great support, considers feedback and continually improves mastock! Well worth the $60. Great for beginners like me too, very easy to use and everything inside the app works seemlessly together! There is also a forum to post comments, questions and suggestions. Je peux affirmer que ce logiciel ma grandement aidé dans ma prise de décision avec ses analyses graphiques très visuelles. En un rien de temps vous configurez ce logiciel afin davoir tous les graphiques avec lesquelles vous aimez travailler. Dun seul coup doeil vous avez devant vous la plateforme de travail parfaite et la tendance de vos positions. Merci Mastock I downloaded the latest version of Mastock. One word: Marvellous. The new function iCloud is a greet evolution. It sync all my stocks on all computers. Very useful. Love it. I bought Mastock 3 weeks ago. I can tell you that it helped me very much in taking decisions with the graphics analysis. In a minute, you can have the best analysis platform you wish to have to work with. I can tell its the best investment I made. The platform configuration is very impressive, in one look you can easily see the direction of your stock. Mastock is as much for beginners as for the pros. Thanks Mastock!

I’ve been with Michel on this and the ipad version for a few years, and he is a genius in implementing code that provides an incredibly useful tool for those of us that want to chart our investments. This version is extremely fast I love the way he has provided the current important numbers in highlites to make monitoring so easy. Great Job !

Best Mac app for charts. But really, it’s the support that rocks out! The dev returns emails within hours (minutes sometimes) and will always do what he can to help. Got an indicator not already listed in the app? No problem. He will code it for you and just copy and paste.

Well, I emailed the developer about this idea. Cause I like to draw head-shoulder pattern. And I am really glad he/she implement this idea so quickly. Not only a great app, but very responsive developer, too. This make it 10 starts.

I have been a user of Mastock since January 2014. This is the only program that I now use to assist me in making stock investment decisions. Let me give you a quick run through the strength of the program. There are two extreme types of stock investors. There are technical analysts and there are the investors who decide based on fundamental information. And then there is any shade in between. Mastock is a program that will satisfy any shade of investor. For the technical investor it has a wealth of technical analysis tools to overlay on charts and to sort stocks. There is even a programming language embedded that lets you create your own custom indicators and functions for chart overlay and to sort stocks. For the fundamental analyst Mastock allows you to store any kind of information whether text, hyperlinks or screenshots. Anything you need to remind you what the companies you are following are about you can store and view side-by-side with a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly chart. A click of a button will let you switch from your Notes to company related RSS news. From the menu bar you can open to the Yahoo Finance record for the company giving you access to all Yahoo Finance has to offer within Mastock. Successful investing is all about having access to information. You want to have the information right at your fingertips. Mastock’s strength is to place all the information you need to make decision right in front of you allowing you to concentrate on information analysis rather then on spending countless hours searching for information all over the internet and then having it on a dozens of browser windows or tabs. And the best of all, if you can live with end of day data, it is all for free. Once you bought Mastock there is no additional fee. Mastock can downloads free data from Yahoo, Google and Quandl. Quandl covers the Tokyo Stock Exchange. But Mastock does also support EODData and has a dedicated window for viewing intraday charts. To use this function just add your EODData login information into the Mastock preferences. Mastock is also available for the iPad and iPhone. The Mastock data can be synced to the Apple cloud and will sync to all devices. Even the Notes containing diverse data types e.g. text, hyperlinks, pictures will be synced to the portable devices. Make changes to the Mastock data on the mobile devices while off-line will sync to the other devices once back online. Finally I want to point out that the developer has been working on this program continuously since 2009. During this time he has incorporate many ideas that came from users including me. To develop successful software it is key to listen to customer. This developer really has understood that. I am sure we will see this program develop further making it even more useful. In my opinion this stock market analysis and portfolio management software is by far the best software of this kind for the Mac and iOS devices.

A beautiful application, rich in fundamental tools for technical analysis. Great are the graphics, and excellent updating of data. Money well spent. I hope sooner or later to see it in italian.

If you have a lot of watchlists and symbols be prepared for crashes and having to reenter information. After the initial data entry part was over, Mastock still crashes abruptly from time-to-time. I’m sure you already know this, but there are free products that provide the same chart styles and indicators. Your brokerage probably provides charting application for free as well. You can also search on the web for “stock charts” where you’ll find numerous websites that offer free charting with more styles and indicators than most will ever need. They also offer subscription services if you do more indepth T/A or need real-time quotes. Why did I buy Mastock, I wanted an appiication that resides on my MAC. My brokerage firm provides a great trading platform free (I still use it when I can), but it uses a lot of system resources (it doesn’t crash, but slows things down). And the applications I run on my Windows partition use a lot of resources as well, so I thought I’d give Mastock a try. By-the-way, the crashes mentioned above occurred when no other applications where running on OS or WINDOWS. The good. I can run Mastock all day if I need (along with my resource hungry WINDOWS apps) and it does not slow down my system, so that is a positive. it still crashes abruptly now and then, but it reloads.

Great product! I use it often for trading and studing the market. Many great features which which are very good for analysis. Highly recommend this over other options.

First of all, the User experience is great. there is an ? help icon everywhere which is handy. You can explore and learn how to use the app by yourself. Another great feature is it is so convenience to connect the market data via googldl, and also the intraday data is fantastic!! A lot more for me to explore especially "customs the indicators”. LOVE IT!!

I really feel this not only rivals but destroys the competition. This is a solid program with very powerful features. You will not find better TA Software out there. I simply cannot say enough good things about this software.

All imaginable chart tools, Ichimoku charts, oscillators, retracements, features and classical indicators, work grate. It will be a good idea to incorporate streaming data in the future, this will make Mastock a real killer application. Nothing to envy from the other expensive pieces of software in the street.

In a financial sense, the Mastock application holds unprecedented forms of investment analysis, a multitude of real-time tools, and maybe even $60.00-worth of information. However, despite my appreciation for the apps countless technological facets, I must state my one and only complaint: its not easy to use! I recently graduated from the 7th Best B-School in the nation with a Finance degree, so when I try to add an index to my portfolio, I expect an average for the index, e.g., DJI, SP500, etc; I would NOT expect the program to add EACH AND EVERY STOCK that is IN the respective index! This ONE mistake has rendered the app useless, since now, each time I try to access Mastock, it obviously freezes up, due to the great amount of memory used to generate up-to-date information for some 1,000 stocks! Ultimately, I DO RECOMMEND THE APP. Thus said, although I consider myself fairly "tech-savvy" and I practice finance daily at a professional corporate level, I must say that I was a little bit thrown off by what the apps commands and various buttons READ versus the ACTUAL FUNCTION they indeed performed. I give it 5 stars because I have yet to find anything like it. The only similar application is "StockSpy", which I also own, but it goes without saying that they are in 2 totally different brackets, if examined as financial databases.
